The Forest

“Why hello there, Myrna.”
“Karnon! Well met. Is the hunt on?”
“Oh yes. The huntsmen have followed us deep into the forest.”
“Foolish.”
“Foolish indeed. The boar already mortally wounded one.”
“Send him my congratulations.”
“I will. It should be a successful cull this season. Have you been keeping busy?”
“I have had quite the harvest this year!”
“Oh yes?”
“Yes. I found a pair of chestnuts a couple weeks ago and a scarlet one after.”
“My, my. What did you do with them?”
“Stew and tart.”
“Oh, your satchel! Do you have another?”
“I found this goldie wandering about the forest.”
“May I see? My, look at those beautiful blond locks. What will you do with her?”
“A roast I think. I can make a lotion from the drippings which does wonders for my complexion.”
“It stirs.”
“Oh, bother. I best hurry home. Wonderful catching up.”
“Certainly!”
“Good hunting.”
“Good hunting to you too.”
