Story

I hated writing. I loved stories. I would think up my own and then not write them down. When I got my first camera, I was delighted to realize that video could rapidly put together my own stores without writing.
I devoted myself to video. I learned all about cameras, taught myself to edit. I called myself a cinematographer and became a student of composition and lighting. I loved it. It brought me joy. But then I took a class on screenwriting. I came to the rude realization this fixation on the moving image was, for me, a procrastination. Deep down, I knew I was supposed to write.
So now I write. I treasure my skills with video. I will continue to use them. But, for now, I write.
